Match Group becomes a founding supporter of the Trust & Safety Professional Association
執筆者: Match Group

Match Group announced membership as a founding supporter of the Trust & Safety Professional Association (TSPA). The TSPA is comprised of global professionals who develop and enforce principles and policies that define acceptable behavior and content online.

Founded by Adelin Cai, Alexander Macgillivray, Clara Tsao, and Eric Goldman, TSPA is a forum for Trust and Safety professionals to connect with a network of peers, find resources for career development, and exchange best practices for navigating challenges unique to the profession. Today’s Trust & Safety teams worldwide have a unique and vital job of keeping online interactions safe by developing workable and scalable policies, moderating content, and generally defending internet platforms from bad actors.

At Match Group, our Trust & Safety work includes tackling financial risk, fraud, and spam by banning and blocking suspicious and reported accounts. We have a zero-tolerance policy for all online abuse related to systemic racism, hate speech, violence, and misinformation. In addition, we also collaborate with law enforcement with investigations and proactively communicate with appropropriate authorities to report things like potential violence, self-harm and other imminent physical harm.

Because Trust & Safety professionals face very challenging issues, we believe we must provide them with the most effective and pragmatic tools possible. As a supporter of the TSPA, we will also be sharing insights and support with this organization for all T&S professionals to benefit from.

“Online trust and safety is critical to healthy societal interactions, and it’s imperative to support the professionals who are doing this important work,” said the founders of TSPA in a statement. “While the members of TSPA will be the people doing trust and safety work, we are grateful to have a broad set of founding supporters backing our launch.”

TSPA’s other founding supporters include Airbnb, Automattic (including WordPress.com and Tumblr), Facebook, Google, Pinterest, Postmates, Slack, Twitter, and the Wikimedia Foundation.
