Match Group & NO MORE Expand Global Partnership To Help End Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault
執筆者: Bernard Kim, Match Group CEO

To mark National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Match Group is announcing a global partnership with NO MORE to help end domestic violence and sexual assault around the world.

In partnership with NO MORE, we will work more closely with global safety experts to inform our ongoing efforts to help support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, while also providing survivor-centered resources and assistance for those who report experiencing dating violence, sexual assault or for those in crisis or experiencing hardship.

Along with this crucial work, we are proud to have NO MORE CEO Pamela Zaballa join Match Group’s Advisory Council, where she will provide recommendations and guidance on Match Group’s ongoing global safety work.

We established the Match Group Advisory Council (MGAC) in 2018, engaging leading safety advocates and experts to advise the company on issues including the prevention of sexual assault, sex trafficking and harrasment. The first of its kind in our industry, the MGAC meets regularly to assess and review our products. Along with NO MORE, members of the MGAC include thought-leading organizations like the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN), the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, and Me Too.

At Match Group, we have a unique opportunity to reach millions of daters around the world, and we are committed to help make dating safer for everyone by developing initiatives that support survivors of sexual assault or domestic violence.

Integrating a Global Resource Directory with NO MORE:

Earlier this year, we began tapping into NO MORE’s global expertise to bring awareness and education on these issues around the world.

With 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men having experienced sexual violence in their lives, our users have told us that when they travel abroad or are in need of urgent support, they often don’t know where to go or what is available to them. To help address this, we are partnering with NO MORE to integrate its Global Resource Directory on our platform. This information will be accessible to users so they can locate resources in more than 200 countries to help ensure they get the support they need, regardless of where they are.

Introducing the Employee Support Program:

With help from NO MORE, we are also standing up an Employee Support Program that will provide assistance and resources to employees who experience a crisis situation involving sexual assault, domestic or dating violence, physical safety issues, and other personal hardship situations resulting in trauma or other harm to the employee. Once impacted employees disclose trauma in this confidential and secure way, our dedicated response team will provide the resources and support.  So they are prepared should an employee choose to disclose directly to a trusted colleague or leader, we will work with our safety partners to train managers appropriately.

This initiative will begin with US-based employees in early 2023 as we look to grow and optimize this program in a trauma-informed way as we look to expand it to all global employees.

We are proud to partner with NO MORE and help provide a path of recovery for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors around the world. Together, along with all of our committed safety partners and advocates, we will continue to push our industry forward to improve safety standards and features on our platform and within all the communities we serve.
