The guide also highlights ways to leverage app-specific tools like Verification and Reporting on Tinder and Hinge, and how to Check Your Ride before getting into an Uber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollege is a time for new experiences and connections, and dating apps often play a big role in that journey,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Tasha Menaker, Senior Director of Social Impact at Match Group<\/strong>. \u201cAt Match Group, our priority is making sure that these connections are not only exciting but also safe for everyone involved. We\u2019re proud to partner with Uber and It\u2019s On Us to provide students with the knowledge they need to date confidently and securely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to arm students with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and have the most positive dating experiences possible \u2014 whether they\u2019re chatting with matches, meeting in person, or catching a ride. New and returning students can snag these guides from a local \u2018It\u2019s On Us\u2019 chapter, through a campus ambassador, or online. Additional materials will be distributed throughout the school year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt It\u2019s On Us, our priority is to ensure that all students are able to pursue an education that is free from sexual violence,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Tracey Vitchers, Executive Director of It\u2019s On Us<\/strong>. \u201cFor many young students, college is the first time they will use dating apps or rideshare to connect with potential romantic partners. It\u2019s critical that students are provided with the knowledge and resources that will help them safely and respectfully navigate their dating experiences from online, to in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Uber, safety is at the core of everything that we do, which is why we\u2019ve developed in-app safety features like Share My Trip, Safety Preferences and Pin Verification, to give riders additional peace of mind when they are on a trip,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Emilie Boman, Director of Safety Public Policy at Uber<\/strong>. \u201cUnderstanding that students have places to go, and people to meet, we\u2019ve partnered with Match Group and It\u2019s On Us, to provide them with essential tips and information, empowering them to feel secure wherever they travel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This partnership is the latest in a series of initiatives aimed at reaching college students. In 2020,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tinderpressroom.com\/Tinder-Its-On-Us-College-Tour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinder partnered with \u2018It\u2019s On Us\u2019<\/a>\u00a0to launch the first-ever national tour providing sexual assault prevention training for college students, by college students. Tinder also recently rolled out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tinderpressroom.com\/2024-04-22-SHORTCUT-YOUR-DATING-ADMIN-THANKS-TO-TINDERS-SHARE-MY-DATE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Share My Date<\/a>, a feature that allows users to share their date plans\u2014including location, date, time, and a photo of their match\u2014directly with friends and loved ones from within the app up to 30 days in advance.
