Match Group joined the WePROTECT Global Alliance, an international movement dedicated to global action to end children’s sexual exploitation online. As part of our membership, we have also adopted the Voluntary Principles to Counter Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, which has been developed and endorsed by the Five Country governments (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and US).

Launching as an independent organization in 2016, WePROTECT Global Alliance is on a mission to end online child sexual abuse and exploitation. In addition, WePROTECT works to identify and safeguard victims, works with law enforcement to apprehend perpetrators, and has made gains in the international response to these types of crimes. Today, the alliance has support from over 90 countries, major civil city organizations, international institutions, and global tech companies, including Apple, Adobe, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Snap, TikTok, Twitter, and now Match Group.  

Our membership in WePROTECT reflects Match Group’s commitment to safety and zero tolerance policy of sexual exploitation and abuse of children on our platforms. We recognize that we must collaborate with others, engage in all dialogue, and establish proper guidelines and practices to make the online world a safer place for our kids. We have also shown ourselves to be industry leaders through our numerous initiatives to prevent, detect, and remove people who engage in inappropriate or illegal behavior from our apps. We continually invest in new technologies to make our platforms safer spaces; this membership reflects our dedication to grow these efforts.
