AI tools in our hiring process

Our mission is human connection — and that starts with how we hire. This guide explains how we use AI during our process, and what we ask of you.

How we use AI What we ask of you
We may use AI-powered notetaking tools during interviews to support our interviewers. When this applies:

  • Your recruiter will let you know in advance
  • We’ll ask for your consent before the session starts
  • All tools are operated by Match Group or approved vendors under our privacy standards
  • Consent is completely optional and choosing not to provide consent will not influence our evaluation of your candidacy
We want to get to know the real you — your thinking, your perspective, your experience. To make that possible:

  • Please do not use AI tools during interviews — no real-time transcription, coaching, or response generation
  • Complete technical assessments independently unless your recruiting partner has explicitly advised otherwise in advance
  • This applies across all formats: video, phone, and in-person

Technical assessments

Depending on the role, we may ask you to use AI tools, such as CodeSignal, as part of the assessment — your recruiting partner will always let you know before your assessment begins.

Unless you’ve been told otherwise in advance, please treat the assessment as independent work. The following are not permitted without explicit prior notice from your recruiter:

  • AI code generators and autocomplete tools
  • AI-assisted debugging platforms
  • Any external service that generates or substantially completes your work

Authenticity & integrity

At Match Group, real connection is at the heart of everything we do — and that includes how we get to know our candidates. We’re genuinely interested in how you think, what you’ve built, and what you bring to a team. We ask that your interview and assessment responses reflect your own knowledge, experience, and perspective.

Accessibility & accommodations Non-compliance
This policy does not restrict the use of assistive technology as a disability accommodation. Candidates who need to request the use of AI-based assistive tools as a reasonable accommodation during the interview process should notify their recruiting partner in advance. Using unauthorized AI tools during the interview process violates our policy, including because it compromises the integrity of the process and our confidentiality requirements. Violations may result in your application being withdrawn and could affect future eligibility across Match Group brands.
