Hey Tinder!
I wanted to write to you about my success story with my now husband! I had just gotten out of a bad breakup and created a Tinder account to keep my mind off the breakup. Ryan worked the night shift and used Tinder to kill time… little did we know that we’d meet in January of 2015, and get married in the middle of a pandemic after 5 and a half years of dating.

I had known Ryan’s cousin, BIlly for quite some time and saw him in one of Ryan’s photos, so I swiped right thinking I could ask Billy about him. (I also really liked the photo of him wearing a backwards baseball cap) Ryan messaged me (Screenshot attached) and we hit it off from there. After about a week of talking, we decided to meet up at a local bar for drinks. He almost didn’t show up because he didn’t think meeting someone on the internet was for him. Luckily, he decided to come and the rest is history.

Fast forward to May 2017, we moved in together. September 2018, Ryan proposed and we scheduled our wedding for April 4, 2020. No one could have ever predicted that we would have to postpone our wedding because of a pandemic, but 18 days before we were supposed to get married, we had to move our wedding date to July 2020…and then move it again. We live 20 minutes outside NYC, which has been one of the largest corona hotspots in the USA so far. Our April date has turned into February 26, 2021. WE ended up adopting a puppy who was able to be a part of our day too! This pandemic has made us thankful for each other and for our families health and love, so much that we decided to tie the knot in an 18 person ceremony in New Jersey on June 27th 2020.
We are still having our February party but we have come so far together and it’s all because we met on Tinder.
Many Thanks <3
Ryan and Lindsey Walsh
