At Match Group, we know that making romantic connections is one of the most sensitive and personal ways people use the internet today. That’s why we have implemented a privacy by design approach to our apps. Not only do we abide by all applicable laws, we deliver to our members the most trusted experience in online dating today.
That’s why we’re excited to debut a new Privacy Preferences tool that sets a new bar in the dating industry, providing members with even more transparency and privacy controls. People using our apps will now be able to better control how data is being shared with the third parties that help us operate our platforms, and can opt out of select sharing services.
This feature is already available to many Tinder, Hinge, Plenty of Fish and OkCupid users, and will be rolled out globally across all Match Group platforms in short order.
The Privacy Preferences tool is the latest expression of our overall philosophy on privacy — maximum user control with minimum data collection and processing. Unlike other tech companies whose business models rely on the sale of personal information, the vast majority of our revenue is earned through subscriptions and a la carte features. Users pay for these premium services because we have built a trusted experience for users. We do not sell your personal information, full stop.

We will continue to innovate and develop new privacy tools and share more with you as it comes, while also being transparent about our privacy practices and our ongoing investment in this space.
