1. Who We Are
The company responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy (the “data controller”) depends on your location, the Site you used or the purpose of processing. To get details on the specific data controller please refer to the Appendix to this Privacy Policy.
2. Where This Privacy Policy Applies
This Privacy Policy applies to this website / service and the other corporate websites and services we operate and where the Policy is being published. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as our “Sites” in this Privacy Policy. To make it extra clear, we’ve added links to this Privacy Policy on all applicable Sites.
This Privacy Policy only applies to corporate websites and services and does not apply to websites or applications we use to provide dating or social discovery services. We refer you to each of these website’s / applications’ respective privacy policies.
3. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We collect data:
- Directly from you when you provide us with information or use a functionality on our Sites, for instance when you complete a contact form, subscribe to our newsletter or when you apply to a job posting;
- Automatically when you navigate and use functionalities on our Sites (e.g., IP address, interactions with our content, cookies information etc.);
- When you interact with us or our tools and systems in a different capacity (e.g., by visiting our premises, using our visitor registration tools, joining our meetings).
We can also receive information from partners (e.g., headhunting agency, agency running our social media pages, etc.). For instance, when you apply to our posts or vacancies published on a partner’s service or via a headhunting agency, they may pass along application details. Where legally allowed, we can also receive information about suspected or convicted bad actors from third parties as part of our efforts to ensure safety and security on our Sites and premises or background checks information in the context of a hiring process to the extent allowed under applicable law. We can also receive information from other Match Group companies, for example, if your inquiry concerns multiple Match Group companies, for safety and anti-fraud purposes.
The main reason we use your data is for the purposes of candidate recruitment (in the case of our career Sites), as well as to review and answer your requests. Additionally, we use your info to improve our Sites and to help keep you and our community safe. Read on for a more detailed explanation of the various categories of data we may collect, for which reason we use it and on which grounds, together with practical examples.

4. How We Share Information
We share some of the data with service providers and partners who assist us in operating the Sites, with other Match Group companies for specified reasons as laid out below and, in some cases, legal authorities. Read on for more details about how your information is shared with others.
● With our service providers and partners
We use vendors to help us operate and improve our Sites, such as data hosting and maintenance, analytics, marketing, advertising, corporate reporting, investor relations, distribution of surveys, and security operations. We share the data listed above only as necessary to allow them to provide us with their services. Further, we follow a strict vetting process prior to engaging any vendor or working with any partner. Our vendors and partners must agree to strict confidentiality obligations.
● With our affiliates
We are part of the Match Group family of businesses. We share your information with affiliates for limited legitimate purposes as laid out below:
○ As necessary to respond to your queries concerning another Match Group affiliate;
○ For them to assist us in data processing operations, as processors / service providers, upon our instructions and on our behalf. Their assistance may include technical processing operations, such as recruitment and management of employees, contractors or vendors, data hosting and maintenance, analytics, finance and accounting assistance, improving our Sites, securing our data and systems and fighting against spam, abuse, fraud, infringement and other wrongdoings;
○ We can also share information with other Match Group companies for other legitimate business purposes including corporate audit, analysis and consolidated reporting, in connection with a corporate transaction, where and as allowed under applicable law.
● With law enforcement or partners and when required by law
We can disclose your information if reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government / law enforcement investigation or other legal requirements; (ii) to assist in the prevention or detection of crime (subject in each case to applicable law); or (iii) to protect the safety of any person.
● With other third-parties such as law, audit firms or consultancy agencies
○ To enforce legal rights, we can share information: (i) if disclosure would mitigate our liability in an actual or threatened lawsuit; (ii) as necessary to protect our legal rights and legal rights of our employees, contractors, business partners or other interested parties; (iii) to enforce our agreements with you; and (iv) to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing.
○ In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Sharing of information laid out in Section 5 involves cross-border data transfers to the United States of America and other jurisdictions that may have different laws about data processing. When we transfer personal information outside of the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or other countries which data protection laws have been deemed adequate by the European Commission or other competent governmental body, we use standard contract clauses (standard contractual clauses are commitments between companies transferring personal data, binding them to protect the privacy and security of your data) or other appropriate transfer mechanism. 7. Your Rights and Choices
We want you to be in control of your data, so we want to remind you of the following rights, options and tools available to you. Depending on where you live, you may not have the same rights or they may be named differently. If you have any questions on your rights and how to exercise them, please contact your Match Group representative—this may be your recruiting liaison, if you are a job applicant, or it may be your business representative, if you are a vendor. Of course, if applicable in your jurisdiction, you can also reach out to the applicable Data Protection Officer (“DPO”).

In certain countries, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you have a right to a judicial remedy and to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal information. The data protection authority you can lodge a complaint with may be that of your habitual residence, where you work or where an alleged infringement took place.
8. How Long We Retain Your Information
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for specified and legitimate purposes and as permitted by applicable law. You can find more information on our data retention practices in section 3.
After the retention period mentioned in section 3, we delete the data unless its further retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Where legally permitted, we can retain and use data that, on its own, cannot identify or be linked specifically to you for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
9. No Children Allowed
Our Sites do not offer services directed to children. Should a child send personal information to us, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child to inform him or her that we must have parental consent before receiving his or her personal information.
10. Privacy Policy Changes
Because we strive to make sure explanations about our data practices remain up-to-date, this policy will change over time. We will notify you before any material changes take effect so that you have time to review the changes.
