Today, Match Group joined leading organisations across law enforcement, technology, and financial institutions to support new, national campaign against fraud messaging to help raise public awareness on fraud safety advice and help people take action to protect themselves.
The coordinated campaign “Stop! Think Fraud” (www.gov.uk/stopthinkfraud) is launching today that will help inform and arm users across industries with consistent, clear and robust anti-fraud advice to the public.
Last year, Match Group signed the UK’s Online Fraud Charter pledging to foster a safer and more secure online environment. Over the last few years, Match Group has created policies and put measures in place to defend against online fraud, and we look forward to continuing our efforts and coordinating across industries.
We remain committed to continuously educate users around the world on current online financial scams, how to recognise common behaviours and encourage them to report it back to the app.
Online fraud techniques are constantly evolving, and this work allows for better and more consistent cooperation between the private sector, government, and law enforcement to combat this growing criminal activity.
We are pleased to be part of this first of its kind initiative and doing our part to disrupt fraud and build trust on our platforms.
